The towpath adjacent to Bow River Village has been extensively improved as part of the area’s regeneration and now provides a fantastic environment for a leisurely riverside walk, jog or bike ride. The River Lea Navigation forms part of an extensive network of canals and waterways with walkways where you’ll discover many reminders of Bow’s canal trading past including converted warehouses, pump houses, lochs and canal-side pubs.
Bow today is a vibrant and culturally diverse place to live with lots of traditional taverns, restaurants, authentic cafes, ethnic delis and edgy bars. The area has also become in an artists’ haven in recent years with a variety of galleries, a film studio and is also home to one of London’s oldest-surviving street markets on Roman Road.
